Stainless Steel Sprockets
Sidewinder/Krause pioneered the first Stainless Steel
sprockets 9 years ago. Many upgraded materials have
since been introduced (Titanium and Tool Steel). But we
still offer the Stainless line to the niche of riders that prefer
Stainless. Although heavier than Ti-moly and Tool steel,
Sidewinder/Krause Stainless is still lighter than mild, steel.
The finish is a hi-tech brushed presentation. Sidewinder
does recommend a skid-plate or other form of protection
when using Stainless Steel due to the vulnerability of
Stainless Steel to impact damage.
